My Foster Writes: Elvis is a sweet, gentle, playful, confident 5 year old who will solicit "touch" attention frequently. He is especially active in the morning and will wake you up with head bunts and kisses. He loves to play -- especially any wand/pole toys with feathers and bells. Elvis is indifferent to catnip toys but will but will lick his favorite Churu treats from your fingers or a spoon. Elvis loves TV (especially Animal Planet cat videos) and will stay on your lap or beside you as long as he can.

A volunteer writes:
Elvis Purrsley is a handsome tall Grey and a very gentle cat. Every single volunteer at the care center enjoys interacting with him as he not only a pleasure for the eyes but also a friendly and welcoming cat who appears right away at his door when he has a visitor. Given a chance, he will come on the lap, not to escape but to get more petting which he is very fond of. Actually, he now appreciates very much being held in the arms(see pictures). Bring a feather wand and Elvis will play his heart out! Elvis does not get carried away when he plays or is being petted. He is a well mannered cat! A Good Samaritan saw Elvis Purrsley struggling in the street for a few weeks and decided that it was about time to find a loving home for him. Elvis was a bit wary and for days after his arrival at the care center but this is history. He is apparently healthy , did very well on his behavior evaluation(LEVEL1) and will be able to go home with you after his neuter. Ask about Elvis when you visit us at the Manhattan Care Center!



Elvis Purrsley is at the front of the kennel, slow blinking as the assessor approaches. When the kennel door is opened, he immediately leans forward to head bunt the assessor's hand, allowing all petting and raising his back as he is pet. He is able to be easily picked up and remains calm when he is held, purring, leaning his body against the assessor, and firmly leaning into petting on the head and cheeks. He is able to be held and pet for an extended period and continues to purr throughout the duration of being held. When he is placed back into the kennel, he remains at the front, allowing all further petting.

Elvis Purrsley interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
