Certified Forklift Operator - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in New York, New York

My foster writes: Certified Forklift Operator kept a huge secret from all of us at the shelter for several months- this girl is an extraordinarily friendly, sweet, and affectionate cat outside of the shelter environment. After spending months shut down and closed off to the world and everyone who tried to visit her, she was head bunting, purring, and soliciting attention in her foster home from the first day. Each day she opens up more and shows a little more bravery and is a little more demanding for affection and attention. CFO's most recent adventure has been up to the top level of her cat tree, a much nicer vantage point than tucked away in her feral den. She's proving to be an incredibly goofy and playful cat and especially likes to spend extra time calculating before each pounce. She's quickly won her foster mom's heart, and now she's ready to move into a home of her very own and win over her future family with her quirky little air biscuits and purrs.

A volunteer writes: If we could get Twilight Sparkle to show the shelter the same openness she shows treats, it would probably go a long way. In the meantime, however, she seems pretty set on getting through the days from the comfort of her den. She'll accept some pets from our scratcher tool, but mostly what she comes out for are treats. What we know of Twilight Sparkle's life before the shelter began in a Park Ranger's garage where she was definitely trying her best to make things work for herself. Initially completely uninterested in their attempts of assistance, Twilight Sparkle eventually agreed that a forever home might be a better fit and so she's here with us hoping that someone will notice her in her den and give her a little chance.
