DAMON - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Muskegon, Michigan

DAMON first came to the shelter as a handsome, dark grey, mystery man. He had been brought in as a stray by a kind heart who felt he was too handsome to be a street cat. He was cautiously friendly with staff, warming up eventually. And he was soon adopted. However, he apparently didn't want to give up his street life completely and kept getting out of the house. He would return but he then would beat up the other cat of the family. The family loved him, but they worried about his excaping and then picking on the other family cat. It was just too much.

DAMON likes being petted, after he checks you out, but he will make you work a little for it. Once he trusts you, he loves to lay in your lap, loves scratches and attention in general.

DAMON needs a someone who is up to the challege of making the home difficult for him to get out. Perhaps he'd be more content if he had a cat enclosure where he could safely enjoy the fresh air, maybe some cat towers or toys to help him burn off some of his energy. He probably also needs to be an only pet as he seems to be a bit of a bully. DAMON would probably do best in a home with older or no children as he is apparently quick when he sees a chance to escape.
