Meet Samantha, a beautiful one-year-old tortoiseshell with the softest fur and a gentle soul to match. Samantha arrived at NAWS frightened and shy, right in the middle of labor, yet she proved to be an incredible mama from the very beginning. Even now, she still lets her kittens eat first—a true testament to her sweet and nurturing nature. With her babies now grown and finding homes of their own, Samantha is finally getting the chance to let her own personality shine. She has blossomed into a friendly, social, and easygoing companion who enjoys following her foster mom from room to room and occasionally chatting with her in adorable little meows.

Samantha still has a playful side and enjoys catnip and the occasional burst of kitten-like fun, although she can be a little shy when playtime first begins. She loves watching the world from a sunny window or perched high on a cat tree, and she's happiest relaxing nearby for a nap or soaking up gentle pets—especially around her face and chin. Samantha gets along wonderfully with the resident cats, an energetic French Bulldog, ferrets, and children ages 10 and older, making her an easy addition to many households. Calm, affectionate, and content just being close to her people, Samantha would make the perfect reading companion and a loving best friend for a family ready to give this deserving mama the forever home she's waited for.
