Hi, I am Avenue! I am 2 years old and I may be small, but my heart is anything but. I am what you might call a forever kitten. I have a soft white coat with a bold black splash across my face that makes my yellow eyes stand out, even when they are half closed from one of my many naps. My fur grows slowly and I do not shed much, which just means more time for me to stay cozy and clean.

At first, I can seem a little shy, but I prefer to think of myself as thoughtful. I like to take a moment to make sure everything feels safe. Once I know you are kind, I become your quiet little shadow. You will find me curled beside you on the couch, tucked under the coffee table, or wrapped up in blankets on the bed. I come when called most of the time, especially if belly rubs are involved. Being held is one of my favorite things, and I am very good at turning laps into nap spots.

My days are a mix of peaceful lounging and playful moments. I love batting around my tower of balls and watching squirrels from my cat tree. I am always ready to greet you when you come home and I get very excited about mealtime. My meow is more of a tiny squeak, but I make sure you hear it when I want attention, especially in the morning when I roll around asking for belly rubs before breakfast.

I have a low to medium energy level. I enjoy short bursts of zoomies, but I am happiest relaxing nearby, purring softly while I keep you company. I get along well with other cats and currently live with two calm feline friends. Even though I have had difficult experiences in the past, I still try my best to make new friends.

My ideal home is calm and patient. I would do best with someone who understands cats and can give me time to settle in. A quiet household would suit me perfectly, and I would love either a human who is home often or a gentle feline companion so I do not feel lonely. I may not be the best fit for busy homes with young kids and lots of noise, though I could adapt if everyone is respectful of my space.

I have come a long way from where I started. When I was rescued, I was in very poor condition and needed a lot of care. Now I am healthy and learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I still have a few sensitivities, especially with things like nail trims and mouth handling, so I will need someone patient and understanding in those moments.

If you are looking for a quiet, loving companion who will blossom in a safe and caring home, I would love to meet you. I promise to fill your days with soft purrs, gentle company, and lots of cozy moments together.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
