Buddha McCracken - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Merrifield, Virginia

Meet Buddha, a playful senior who would love to keep you company! Buddha was raised by a farm family in West Virginia, but they retired and downsized with other family members, who have allergies to cats. Buddha has a great appetite and is a minimal shedder. He is very chatty and wants to interact with everyone. He would be great in a home with kids and is used to living with dogs and chickens in the barn but would much rather become an indoor kitty where he can relax and be with his people and fur friends.
Buddha came to 4Paws with gastrointestinal issues but the symptoms resolved when his foster changed his diet to a freeze-dried raw food (rabbit or turkey - he is allergic to chicken). Buddha's food cost is comparable to a quality canned food diet, about $4-$6/day, is shelf stable and can be scooped like kibble. Buddha is neutered, vaccinated for distemper and rabies, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
