Scamp, Handsome Orange Boy - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Meriden, Connecticut

Meet our very handsome and demure boy named Scamp! Scamp is about 9.5 years old and he ended up at our shelter after his owner passed away and no family was available to take him in. He is a friendly guy who loves a nice head rub. He is fine with being picked up and put into a carrier. Scamp is a good eater and he uses his litter box well. He is a quiet boy who would enjoy a nice quiet home where he can lounge around all day. He would love to get out of the shelter and have a home of his own! He does have one ear that is a bit crinkled due to an old hematoma. This is not painful for him and we are told it can make him more susceptible to ear infections in that ear. Scamp lived with a dog previously and he has shown to be fine with other cats. He can go to a home with children 10 years old and older.

You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.

ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
