Garfield has had an incredibly difficult life. At some point, we think he may have been hit by a car, and he has had to undergo both an eye removal and have his jaw wired shut. He's been through pain, uncertainty, and more changes than we can imagine. Through all of it, though, Garfield has remained an absolute trouper.

Despite everything he's experienced, Garfield is brave, gentle, and incredibly sweet. He is such a good boy, and when you meet him, it's hard not to be moved by how much love he still has to give. He has every reason to be tired of the world, but instead, he continues to show us how strong and special he is.

At 15 years old, Garfield shouldn't have to spend his golden years wondering what comes next. He deserves a warm bed, gentle hands, a quiet place to rest, and most of all, someone who will love him unconditionally for the rest of his life. After everything Garfield has been through, he deserves nothing less than the very best.
