*APPROX*. BIRTH DATE: 05/15/26

BIO: Gem was found in a junk yard, hiding alone in a tire. She is playful and energetic, and she taught herself to run on the big kitty wheel without instruction or coaxing! GEM is also very food motivated and would likely be easy to train to do tricks like a dog.
She has soft dark orange eyes and soft fur. She loves playing with her foster siblings and the older cats in the home.
Gem is respectful of the foster home's dogs, more curious about them than afraid.

Gem has very high sensitivity on her lower back, and so does not like being touched there *at all*, so it's essential to not irritate those sensitive nerves – she acts like it hurts badly there. (yes, she has been checked out by a vet for any physical causes, finding none)

When she's not playing with her kitty friends or her favorite toys, she likes to snuggle up with a kitty friend for a snooze, or in a windowsill.
She will do best with another playful cat/kitten who can match her energy.

GETS ALONG WITH OTHER CATS/DOGS? GEM is acclimated to cat friendly cats and cat friendly dogs after slow and safe introductions - which are always needed when meeting new friends!

CHILDREN? Gem is fine with well-mannered older children who know how to respect and treat animals.

SPECIAL NEEDS: N/A

OUT OF STATE/OUT OF AREA? We do not arrange transport or ship; please be willing and able to make plans to personally acquire this pet.
