Phantom is a big gentle boy who is simply looking for a soft place to land. This handsome boy is a few years old and came from an overcrowded farm where an elderly man had done his best to care for the cats before he passed away. With so many cats and so few resources, Phantom never really had the chance to learn that people could be a source of comfort, but he's slowly discovering that now.
While Phantom is friendly and enjoys gentle pets, his favorite thing in the world is the company of other cats. He takes comfort in having feline friends nearby and would thrive in a home with another kind cat to help him continue building his confidence. He will warm up with time, but he'll need a patient family willing to let him settle in at his own pace.
Phantom may never be your typical lap cat, and that's okay. He will prefer being next to you rather than right on you and will run away from your house guests. What he will be is a quiet, kind companion with one of the gentlest hearts you'll ever meet. No matter how frightened or uncertain he is, Phantom doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's the type of cat who would never think of hurting another living being.
He's also a very good house cat in other ways! Phantom uses the litter box like a pro, loves a good snack, and is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and FeLV/FIV negative.
