Pinky ACCT-A-261594 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to medical concerns. Pinky must have confirmed placement with an RESCUE PARTNER by Tuesday, September 15th at 10 A.M. Should Pinky's medical or behavioral status change, their urgency and timeline for placement may also change.

Pinky is a sweet, gentle guy who found himself at ACCT after Finder called in on 9/12 about a cat with a possible broken jaw. When brought into ACCT it was found that Pinky has severe periodontal disease that has affected his canine teeth and caused his jaw to sit improperly, preventing him from fully closing his mouth.

He is currently receiving pain medication to keep him comfortable, but he urgently needs a dental procedure with extraction of his affected canine teeth. This should help correct the malocclusion and, most importantly, improve his comfort and quality of life.

While he can be a little scared and unsure of new people, Pinky has been tolerant of handling and has never shown aggression. He may not be the type to immediately seek out attention, but underneath his nervousness is a very sweet boy who deserves patience and understanding.

Pinky is rescue-only and urgently seeking placement so he can receive the dental care he needs. He may need a little time to feel comfortable, but this sweet boy deserves someone willing to give him that chance.

9/12 Per staff: Avoidant, but tolerant. He moved his head away when I reached over to pet the top of it, so I switched to petting his back. He lip licked as I pet him. He backed into a corner, so I stopped petting as he didn't seem to enjoy my company too much. He never reacted though.
