Francis is an elderly gentleman who had a rough life. He was trapped over the winter during a cold snap and it became apparent right away he was not fit to return to the streets. He suffers from digestive issues, likely IBD, which we are still exploring best treatment. He's what we'd consider to be semi-feral. He has really learned to love pets and head scratches but can be standoffish with new people.
He's skeptical about change and loves to give a healthy hiss, but underneath the combative demeanor he is a gentle, albeit apprehensive.
We are looking for an adopter or long term fospice for Francis. We truly do not know how much time he has left but we would love to be able to give this old guy the life he should have always had for whatever time he has left.
Francis is neutered, vaccinated, FIV positive, FeLV negative. He has digestive issues that we are continuing to diagose and will support continued treatment.
We aren't sure how he will be with other cats - he doesn't seem phased by cats in neighboring crates but would likely do best as a solo cat or at least in his own room to begin.
