Listen. Lila is perfect. Her foster has fostered over 100 cats and can count on one hand the number of times she's described a cat as perfect and with no reservation describes Lila as an absolute perfect doll that when people think about wanting a cuddly, chill, easy going cat, Lila is what they're envisioning. And her foster isn't the only one who says this. Lila's ear is tipped because she was part of a large outdoor colony, but her colony manager deemed her WAY too sweet for the streets and brought her into a rescue so she could get the loving home that she deserves.
Lila currently lives in a home with multiple other cats (including some spicy divas) and a high-maintence dog, and she's the Miss Congeniality all star of the bunch. She is great with kids- including young kids who are still learning cat manners. Do you want a lap kitty? Lila is your girl. Do you want a cat who can be okay chilling alone or with other animals while you're out? Lila is your girl. Her perfect day consists of as many cuddles and kisses and pets and lap biscuits as you're able to give, but when life gets in the way, she's also content to "hunt" birds and squirrels from the window sill, embrace a classic cat nap, or swat around some cat toys to play by herself or with her fur roommates.
Lila is spayed; up to date on rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV vaccines; microchipped; and up to date on parasite prevention for intestinal worms and fleas. She is negative for FeLV but positive for FIV. To ease your mind, FIV is only spread when the infected cat bites another cat so deeply that the skin is broken and blood is drawn. It is not contagious to other species including humans and dogs. While is is technically possible that Lila could spread this were she to bite another cat to this level of severity, given Lila's temperament, it's a scenario that can barely be imagined. She likely got it from her mother or from being bullied in her colony. When her current diva cat roommates have chased her or tried to pick a fight with her, Lila cowers and hides and has never once acted like she has an iota of interest in fighting back. While 15 years ago there was so little research on this disease that people deemed FIV a death sentence, in the past years much more research and vet education has come out that shows FIV postive cats can live long healthy lives and with a low stress lifestyle, quality cat food, and immune building supplements like B12, statistically she's likely to live as long as the average FIV negative cat.
Lila deserves a loving home and someone who wants to facilitate her daily minimum required 2,000 lap biscuits. If you think that could be you, read more about next steps below:
