DESCRIPTION
Posey!
This guy came to us from a home overwhelmed with animals. He has lived with lots of other dogs (of all sizes), another cat, and a plethora of small mammals.
Posey is a super sweet and affectionate guy looking for a special home that can make accomadations for his CH.
CH, or Cerebellar Hypoplasia, is a disorder found in cats and dogs which causes jerky movements, tremors, and generally uncoordinated motion. A cat with CH often falls down and has trouble walking or cannot seem to walk at all. CH in cats is non-progressive, meaning it does not get worse with age. It is also not inherently painful (though lack of coordination can cause accidents if the environment is not appropriate), nor is it contagious.
Cerebellar Hypoplasia is most commonly caused by the kitten’s mother contracting the Panleukopenia virus while pregnant or if a trauma, including malnutrition, occurs to the kittens while in the womb.
If you're interested in giving Posey a soft place to land when he falls down, stop by and meet him today!
