June is a sweet and spunky kitten who was found beneath the Mississippi summer sun in the month of June. She was lying in the road just over a hill, and by the time she was found, this tiny girl had simply given up.
Thankfully, someone stopped.
A kind community member scooped June up, got her to safety, and then opened her home to foster her for us while she recovered. We are incredibly grateful to her for stepping up when June needed someone most. Sometimes rescue really does begin with one person deciding not to keep driving.
June was taken to the vet, given the care she needed, and slowly became herself again — a sweetheart who can melt your heart like molasses with her purrs and cuddles, diligently attack any toy foolish enough to invade your home, give you a few love nibbles to keep you humble, and then look at you like you hung the moon.
Playing is June's love language. She's fun, affectionate, curious, and very well loved by everyone who has helped her along the way.
June should be fine with other cats and respectful children. She has not been dog tested, so we don't yet know how she feels about canine friends.
This little girl has already gone from lying alone in a Mississippi road to being surrounded by people who adore her.
Now she deserves the very best part.
Forever home, treat our girl well — and let June treat you to a richer life.
Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.
All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
