Meet Hitchhiker, aka Juju!

Some kittens find their way to us in the most unexpected ways. Juju was one of those kittens.

While a group of rescuers was traveling from Jackson to Starkville for a spay and neuter clinic, one of them spotted a tiny kitten running around a parking lot along the side of the highway. They couldn't just keep driving. So, Hitchhiker hitched a ride—and a new chapter began.

We may never know exactly what Juju's past looked like, but there is one thing we know for sure: she has known love. It shows in everything she does.

Juju is absolutely perfect. She is an exceptionally loving little girl who actively seeks out affection and would happily spend her day being loved on. And if you want to hold her like a baby? She is completely on board.

Juju is also a playful girl and really enjoys romping around with her foster friend, Claire. She would be wonderful in a home with children of any age and is the kind of kitten who wants to be involved in all the fun.

She may have started her journey running around a highway parking lot, but this little hitchhiker has traded the roadside for a much better destination.

Her next stop? Hopefully, Home, Sweet Home.

Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.

All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
