Welcoming William - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Gloucester, Virginia

William is a 5-month-old orange kitten with a story of resilience and a face that's pretty hard to resist!

William came to us with significant changes to his eyes caused by a condition called symblepharon, which causes adhesions to form around the eyes. His right eye is more severely affected and the adhesions have impaired his vision.

But William doesn't let that stop him!

He is scheduled for eye surgery on August 20 to remove some of those adhesions and hopefully improve his vision. His eyes may never look completely "normal," and he may continue to experience some tearing, but that's just part of what makes William uniquely William.

What William really needs is someone who can look beyond his eyes and see the wonderful little kitten in front of them.

He's already come such a long way, and now he's ready for the best chapter yet: a family of his very own.
