Cristabel - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Germantown, Maryland

If you're looking for a kitten who knows exactly how to ask for attention, Cristabel is your girl! This beautiful gray-and-white sweetheart with the gray nose has mastered the art of winning hearts. When she wants some love, she'll happily play with your feet and toes until you notice her-and once you do, she's thrilled to settle into your lap for pets and scratches.

Cristabel is playful, affectionate, and always ready for fun. She loves chasing plastic springs, batting around toy mice, and wrestling with her feline family members. When playtime is over, she's happy to soak up attention from her favorite people.

Cristabel is especially bonded with her sister, Manzanita, and would love to be adopted with her. She would also be happy in a home with her sister Manchitas or her mom, Gracita. Like all kittens, she will need a feline companion in her forever home. Her favorite spots include the cat tree, sunny windows, and anywhere her people happen to be.

FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM

Our Foster-to-Adopt program is the way to go FMCA's foster-to-adopt program is essentially a trial period so you can be sure your selection is a good fit for your home and family. This is especially helpful if you have other pets and children or just need more time to make a final decision.

FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
The Foster-to-Adoption program requires a fully approved application. Applicant must be 21 years old All applicants must complete an application, undergo a residency and vet verification plus a virtual interview/home visit prior to application approval. We also require a drivers' license, or other form of ID, for each adult in the household.

If you do not have a specific pet in mind, please list a general description of what you are looking for, i.e. adult female cat or pair of kittens or unknown, etc. under the section titled "Which animals are you interested in?" This will allow us to quickly determine if we may have what you are looking for readily available or in one of our foster homes still going through the vetting process.

You will hear from us in the next few days. Please note, FMCA is an all-volunteer organization and most of our volunteers work full-time, so please be patient.

After an applicant is fully approved and an appropriate pet is selected, we will coordinate pet transfer. We will stay in touch to monitor during the two-or three-week trial period. If it's a go, we will finalize the adoption electronically. During the trial period, we are always available to help with items such as getting pets settled in, pet introductions and ways to help shy pets acclimate. If things don't work out, the pet will return to FMCA.
