Meet Luna!
approximate DOB: 11/30/24
Medically ready for adoption: late June/early July
Luna is a beautiful sweetheart with a calm, easygoing personality. She enjoys the simple things in life: a cozy spot to nap, a good meal, and being close to her favorite people.
This chill girl gets along well with both cats and dogs and settles easily into a household routine. Luna enjoys affection and can be picked up and cuddled, but she's also good at communicating when she's had enough. She's looking for a family that will appreciate her gentle boundaries and understand her subtle cues when she's ready to be put down.
One of Luna's favorite places to be is right next to you-especially curled up by your legs while you relax or sleep. She's a wonderful companion who likes being near her people without demanding constant attention.
Luna has a few adorable features that make her extra special. She sports a unique black "panda" nose and, when she stretches out just right, one of her black markings forms a perfect little heart.
When it comes to food, Luna knows what she likes! She's not a fan of hard treats, but she happily enjoys dry food and wet food.
If you're looking for a laid-back companion who will quietly keep you company, share your couch, and warm your feet at night, Luna may be the perfect addition to your family.
FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM
Not sure if a particular pet will be the perfect match? Our Foster-to-Adopt program is the way to go FMCA's foster-to-adopt program is essentially a trial period so you can be sure your selection is a good fit for your home and family. This is especially helpful if you have other pets and children or just need more time to make a final decision.
FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
The Foster-to-Adoption program requires a fully approved application. Applicant must be 21 years old All applicants must complete an application, undergo a residency and vet verification plus a virtual interview/home visit prior to application approval. We also require a drivers' license, or other form of ID, for each adult in the household.
CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION
We process adoptions through ShelterLuv. The first step is to complete an application:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FMCA/Cat
If you do not have a specific pet in mind, please list a general description of what you are looking for, i.e. adult female cat or pair of kittens or unknown, etc. under the section titled "Which animals are you interested in?" This will allow us to quickly determine if we may have what you are looking for readily available or in one of our foster homes still going through the vetting process.
You will hear from us in the next few days. Please note, FMCA is an all-volunteer organization and most of our volunteers work full-time, so please be patient.
After an applicant is fully approved and an appropriate pet is selected, we will coordinate pet transfer. We will stay in touch to monitor during the two-or three-week trial period. If it's a go, we will finalize the adoption electronically. During the trial period, we are always available to help with items such as getting pets settled in, pet introductions and ways to help shy pets acclimate. If things don't work out, the pet will return to FMCA.
Please email us at info@fmca.org with any questions regarding the adoption process.
