Habanero is a sweet and timid girl who is still learning that the inside world can be a safe place. After spending her early life roaming the streets, she has made incredible progress during her month indoors, and her playful personality is really starting to shine.

Habanero loves playing with her sister, Wasabi, and she draws courage from her siblings. She is a little cautious about new things, but is slowly building confidence in play and exploration. She especially loves her favorite sardine toy and her rolly bell ball, and she has perfected the art of patiently stalking her brother. Her recent milestones include: free roaming the kitten room unsupervised, consenting to be picked up and snuggled (if not slightly reluctantly) and bravely exiting the kitten enclosure all on her own.

Habanero would thrive with a playful feline companion who can help show her the ropes, along with a family willing to give her a slow, patient, and controlled introduction to her new life. She may need a little extra time to feel brave, but watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding.

Habanero is a 5-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This cat's adoption fee is $300 and includes vaccinations, microchip, spay, and FeLV/FIV test. We would love for you to meet this kitten and see if she might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
