Despite the big changes in his life, Butterbean has remained outgoing, loving, and eager to make new friends. If you don’t come over to pet him fast enough, don’t worry — he’ll happily stroll over and give you a gentle headbutt to remind you he’s ready for attention.

One of Butterbean’s favorite hobbies is lounging on top of an impressively tall bookcase. Exactly how he gets up there remains a mystery, but this fearless boy has no hesitation about leaping down the moment visitors arrive to say hello.

While new situations can make him a little skittish at first, Butterbean settles in quickly once he feels safe. He has previously lived with both cats and dogs and seems quite comfortable around them, though slow introductions are always recommended.
