DESCRIPTION

This sweet boy is still learning that people can be trusted, but he has already come a long way. He can be cautious with new people, sudden movements, and unfamiliar environments, but each day he's getting a little braver.

Of the three kittens in his foster group, he is the bravest, and his curiosity often wins out over his nerves. He loves to explore and investigate what's going on around him, and once the toys come out, he's ready to play. Wand toys and springs are particular favorites, and he'll even chitter excitedly while stalking a wand toy before launching his attack. But his absolute favorite is the crinkle tunnel—he loves racing through it, hiding inside, and popping out to play.

He has been fostered with two children (ages 8 and 11) and is comfortable playing with them and being picked up and carried around. While he may be cautious with new people at first, once you're part of his trusted circle, he's happy to join in on the fun.

He's also extremely food motivated, which is a great way to win his trust. What would he do for a Churu? We're not entirely sure we've found the limit yet. Just don't take too long opening it—patience is apparently not part of the deal. Break out one of those magical little tubes and suddenly making friends with a human doesn't seem nearly so scary.

He will likely need a little extra time to settle into his new home and would benefit from starting out in a smaller, quiet space such as a spare bathroom or secure crate, especially overnight or during busy or overstimulating times. Having a safe place to retreat will help him build confidence at his own pace.

You may not see his true personality right away in a shelter kennel or during his first few days at home. New places can feel overwhelming, but with patience, gentle handling, playtime, and a predictable routine (and plenty of Churu), his curious and playful personality will start to shine. Give him the chance to feel safe, and you'll get to watch a cautious little kitten become braver every day—and discover that being a spoiled house cat is actually a pretty great life.
