Are you looking for the sweetest, friendliest kitty around? Are you looking for a lap cat? Obi is your guy! He is affectionate, curious, and enjoys being picked up and held. He’ll happily settle into your lap or flop down at your feet for attention. He might be a dog trapped in a cat body! He really is a special kitty!Obi is people-oriented and wants to be part of whatever is going on. He’ll greet you at the door! He’s also playful and still a kitten, so he can get a little rambunctious and is learning not to use hands as toys when he gets excited. He’ll do best with someone who can gently redirect him and continue his kitten manners training. While Obi loves people, he would benefit from having a kitty friend. His perfect friend is his buddy, Sable, so priority will be given to someone adopting both Obi and Sable. They are a perfect pair – as long as you are okay with having two kitties on your lap!Obi would be good with kids who are comfortable with an active, affectionate kitten – he’s so loving but he also wants to play! He is fine with the resident dog at his foster home and will do well with a dog (with proper introduction). He’s about 6 months old, litterbox trained, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. You definitely want to meet Obi and Sable – they like meeting new people! If you want a friendly cuddler, this is your guy! He’s fostered in Broomfield. Obi’s adoption fee is $150.**Only applications with resident cats and/or applying for Obi and Sable will be considered.**

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
$350 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$225 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$225 for kittens (6 months & under)
$150 for cats (older than 6 months)
$100 for senior cats (8 years or older)
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
