Meet Wicket: The Brave Boy Who Rescued Himself! 🐾❤️
Wicket was a homeless cat on the streets of Memphis when he walked up to the back window of our rescue facility, looked inside, and literally asked for help. After a lifetime of neglect and homelessness, he weighed a fragile 7.4 pounds (he's a healthy, handsome 13 pounds now!), was severely anemic, flea-ridden, dehydrated, and suffering from abscessed wounds and ear infections.
It took a long, dedicated journey of medical care and gentle love to heal his body and teach him to trust people. But now, Wicket is officially ready to graduate from rescue care and get settled in the loving home he's always dreamed of!
What Wicket Would Like in a Home:
* A Low-Key Environment: After a lifetime of hardship, Wicket is looking for a calm, quiet household where he can feel safe. He can be shy in new surroundings, but patience will be rewarded tenfold.
* Solo Royalty (Preferred): He coexisted fine in a multi-cat room in TN, but he would truly thrive as an only cat where he doesn't have to share the spotlight.
* Kid-Friendly: He has done well around calm, respectful older children.
Wicket's Fun Side:
* Toy Enthusiast: He loves playing with his toys!
* Master Baker: He makes a mean batch of biscuits when he's feeling cozy.
* Treat Lover: Treats are the ultimate way to his heart.
