Backpack - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Coquitlam, British Columbia

Backpack was named after the 2026 Fat Bear Week winner and we think it's obvious why. This hefty boy arrived as a stray even thought we can't imagine he managed to waddle too far from home, no one came looking for him. He is a sweet and affectionate cat who clearly has lost a lot of weight but is still a big guy. We had his bloodwork checked and it's great so it appears Backpack just ate too much of the wrong food (we can all relate!).

Backpack should get some more weight off to help his joints and overall health. We have just moved him into our adoption room and will let him settle before we introduce him to the other cats. Backpack might have some issues with stairs so that should be something potential adopters consider.
