Meow! I'm Emil! I'm a handsome short haired grey and white tuxedo male, born approximately 9/01/2016. I am young at heart, full of curiosity, and always ready for fun. I've never met a stranger I didn't like, and I'll happily chat with you about your day, your plans, or whatever happens to be on my mind at the moment! Playtime is one of my favorite parts of the day, especially if there's a wand toy with a fuzzy worm involved. I'll give it my all, then recharge with a quick post-meal nap before I'm ready to go again. Speaking of meals... I love food. Wet food and treats are the way to my heart, and I'm not shy about going after them, sometimes even right out of your hand if you're not paying attention!
When I'm not playing or eating, I'm all about affection. I'm a true lap cat who just wants to soak up attention and be petted for as long as you're willing but be gentle around the butt (I get cranky). Head rubs are my absolute favorite! I do have a few quirks that make me uniquely me. I'm not a fan of being picked up, and I prefer to keep all four paws on the ground. I'm also very curious, closed doors are simply unacceptable, and I like to be involved in whatever you're doing. I can get a bit anxious when left alone or confined, so I'm hoping to find someone who's around often and happy to give me the attention I crave. I'll also need a little extra care when it comes to my dental health. I have a history of periodontal disease, so daily tooth brushing (don't worry, I'll tolerate it!) and regular dental checkups every six months will help keep me feeling my best.
I want to be your one and only companion. I've tried living with other cats, and it's just not my style. I don't think I would do well with dogs either. I really thrive when I have all the love and attention to myself, and I promise, I'll give it right back to you tenfold. I think I'd do well in a family with respectful kids or teenagers.
