Nougat - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Cincinnati, Ohio

Six-year old Nougat was the apple of her parents eyes...then came a new baby...and another, and eventually there was not much time for anyone to give Nougat the attention she craves. Her owners told us she was behaving differently since the children came along. Likely she was picking up on and reacting to the changes she saw in her owners. We frequently get requests from new parents who dont particularly want their pets now that their lifestyle has changed. So Nougat came to live at HEARTT Animal Refuge to see if she could start over with a new family or owner.

She doesnt particularly like living in a free range room with other cats but keeps her distance from them rather than picking fights. She loves when volunteers come in the room and give her attention. She is older now so more sedate than the sort yearlings, but still loves to chase toys and wands. It is unknown how she reacts to dogs. Likely she would prefer not to be placed in a home with children again.
