For most of her life, she was lovingly cared for as part of a managed cat colony in Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. She knew safety, routine, and companionship — until this past winter, when she found herself suddenly alone.

Scared and lonely, Brooke did something incredibly brave: she reached out to her longtime caretakers for comfort. That moment changed everything. We brought her indoors to see whether she might enjoy a new chapter as a house cat… and she is thriving.

Brooke is shy at first, but her sweetness shines through quickly. Gentle pets and soft neck scratchies are the key to her heart, and once she feels safe, she leans right in. She’s a quiet soul who prefers a calm environment and a patient adopter who understands that settling into a new home takes time — but the reward is a deeply tender, grateful companion.
