Boots is a sweet senior gentleman looking for someone who understands that the best relationships are built on trust.

He absolutely loves sitting in your lap, being petted and even being brushed. But Boots likes affection on his terms. He isn’t comfortable being picked up or approached too quickly — give him the choice, and he’ll happily come to you.

He’s mellowed tremendously from the feisty youngster he once was, although there’s still a little spark in there! He’ll even chase a laser pointer for a few minutes before deciding retirement sounds better.

Boots has been an indoor-only cat and is declawed, so he must remain safely indoors. Vet visits are especially stressful for him, and he needs medication beforehand to help keep him calm.

Boots originally belonged to an elderly couple who adopted him as a kitten in 2013. Just six months later, his dad entered assisted living and his mom entered memory care. With nowhere else to go, a family member took him in and has cared for him ever since.

Now this handsome senior needs someone willing to give him his forever chapter.
