Meet Avery, a little ball of personality with a big heart and a talent for rolling her way into your life! This sweet girl is becoming more affectionate every day and has the perfect balance of playful energy and cuddle time. She loves rolling down the hill she has created on the sofa, playing with her favorite blue ball with the fuzzy tail, and then finding a cozy spot underneath the couch for a well-earned nap. She'll happily rub against your legs for attention and strike up a conversation with you, too. Avery is quite the storyteller, and we're sure she has plenty of big adventures to tell!
Avery is comfortable sharing her home with dogs and other cats, although she still thinks some of her furry housemates are awfully big! She may be startled by loud noises or quick movements, so a little patience and a gentle approach go a long way. She also has an excellent appetite, and treats are definitely the quickest way to win her heart. She's even earned a star on the litter box walk of fame!
Avery's story began when she was found as a tiny stray kitten curled up in her rescuer's window well. After learning that her mom was no longer around, her rescuer welcomed her inside. She was initially frightened and unsure, but within just a few days, she was running to her new person for pets and affection. Now she's ready to roll her way right into a forever home. Could that home be yours?

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats' emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of "Single Kitten Syndrome" (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten's most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
