Meet Dude - A Friendly Boy Who Decided a Life Indoors Was Right Up His Alley

Dude is a 1.5-year-old shorthair tabby cat who found MWHS on his own terms. He was seen hanging around outside the shelter, peeking in the windows at the cats inside, and he decided a life inside didn't look so bad. After a few days of coming around we were able to trap him, and the rest is history. He took to indoor life almost immediately, which tells you everything you need to know about this adaptable, easygoing boy.

Dude is a friendly, people-oriented cat who loves attention and is happy to soak up all the pets and playtime. He even tolerates being held and will make an excellent lap cat. New spaces can feel a little overwhelming for him at first, but he adjusts quickly and settles in with very little fuss. Although he does have a voice and isn't afraid to use it, particularly if his meals are running a little behind schedule.

Dude would do best as the only cat in the household, and honestly, he has the personality to fill that role completely. He is the kind of cat who doesn't need a sidekick, as he is more than enough on his own. We are unsure how he does with dogs, but we think he could do well with children.
