Found all alone wandering outside, tiny little Licorice was thankfully picked up by a kind person and brought to our veterinary clinic. That’s when we got the call to help. Safe in foster care now, this sweet baby is thriving and learning that people can be kind and cuddles are pretty wonderful.

Licorice is about 7 weeks old and is everything you could want in a kitten — playful, affectionate, curious, and absolutely adorable. She loves exploring, chasing toys, and curling up for naps after a busy day of kitten adventures.

She’s currently being fostered with Farley, another lucky kitten who was rescued from the middle of the road before tragedy struck. The two have become wonderful little companions, and if you’re looking for a pair of kittens to grow up together, Licorice and Farley would make an amazing duo.

After such a rough start, Licorice deserves a safe, loving home where she’ll never have to fend for herself again. Could that home be yours? 🐾

We do offer a discount when adopting more than one pet.

All pets are microchipped, and the registration fee paid for lifetime.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.

The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.

NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.

If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.

We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21.
