Description
Parrot is a burly, beautiful, silver / gray striped tabby with a friendly demeanor. He softly meows politely at you in greeting when you look at him.

Personality
Parrot's big eyes are so gorgeous that you may just stare at him. He makes sure that you don’t forget to lavish him with love and gives affection back just as must as he takes it. He is otherwise low- maintenance and an easy cat. He may act demure, but Parrot has an outgoing personality that break through after any initial shyness. As a kitten he discovered that being friendly was more fun and rewarding than acting insecure around people. Parrot can make a fool of himself at times to get pets and scratches from people. He gets jealous when another cat is being pet and has to come over ans ask for some too. He will back up into your hand to get scratches on the back of his neck. He likes to play paw games and curiously walk around your feet looking up. Parrot normally comes running when someone walks into the room, not just for the hope of wet food. The big boy want loving more than he even wants dinner.

Background
Parrot and his 2 brothers, Flamingo and Parakeet, were found at about 3 months old, in a neighborhood in SW Houston, Sugarland. They were a litter from a large colony of cats where many others had been rescued in the past 4 years. The colony is known for beautiful silver tabbies and charcoal gray cats. The cats there have been actively TNR'd (trap, neuter, returned) for years. Parrot was the second in his litter to gain confidence, becoming very sweet by the time they were teenagers.
