Mavis - Domestic Medium Hair Cat for Adoption in Traverse City, Michigan

Meet Mavis

Mavis, sweet Mavis. Never met a food she didn't like. Mavis is a big, squishy snuggle bug. She loves a good chin scratch and brushing, and she will definitely cover all of the surface area of your lap. Mavis came to TC Paw with her "brother" Gus, and aside from her concerns that he might steal her snacks, they get along fine. They are not bonded, and can be adopted separately or together.

She would probably adjust well to a home with other pets, maybe a laid-back dog, and with the right introductions, would most likely handle older kids just fine. In fact, a busy and active home might be just the ticket to help her on her weight loss journey.

Mavis is severely overweight and will need to be on a carefully, monitored diet. She cannot have unlimited access to food. She would also benefit from regular exercise/play time. An occasional bath will help to keep her clean, as she does have some trouble grooming parts of herself. Mavis has also had dental work and had several teeth removed, so a soft food diet may be beneficial.
