Near the end of their journey to Mordor in J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Two Towers," Samwise Gamgee says, "I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo." My name is Sam. I am one of six cats who came to Paws and Claws from a rescue partner. I am not big on adventures. I purr-fur a quiet life, and I am hoping that this will be a short stay before I reach my final destination. I have a gentle, easy-going manner that makes me easy to like. I like people, and I enjoy hanging out somewhere in the vicinity where folks are gathered so I can keep an eye on what's happening and seek out attention and affection when I want it. I adapt well to new situations and bounce back quickly from any unusual circumstances that come my way. I'd love to be in a home with a calm environment where I can be my laid-back, easygoing self and enjoy companionship at my own pace. We'll make our own wonderful story when I am your Sam.
