Darla is a beautiful young cat with a stunning medium, silky coat, complete with adorable ear tufts and a magnificent fluffy tail that perfectly frames her regal appearance. A lovely brown and cream tabby, Darla can be a little reserved at first, but each day she continues to grow more comfortable and confident in her indoor life. She and her bonded sister, Olive, were rescued outdoors during the harsh Polar Vortex of January 2026, making their journey to safety all the more special.

While Darla prefers to take things at her own pace, she has come to enjoy the comforts of home. Her daily Churu treat is a favorite, and she happily accepts gentle pets and chin and neck scritches from her foster parents. Sudden movements can still startle her occasionally, but with patience and love, she continues to make steady progress.

Darla shares a close bond with her beloved sister, Olive, and gets along wonderfully with the other foster cats of all ages. She enjoys spending her days watching the world go by from the safety of a sunny window perch, often curled up in a cozy cat bed. When she's feeling especially content, Darla can often be found busily "making biscuits," proving herself to be quite an expert pastry chef.

Sweet, gentle, and quietly affectionate, Darla is a lovely girl who is blossoming more every day and is ready to find a patient, loving home where she can experience patience and continue to shine.
