Mako
**The catch of the day.
Some kittens are black.
Some kittens are gray.
And then there's Mako...
...who apparently couldn't decide.
This stunning little fluff ball wears a coat that's a beautiful blend of smoky blue, charcoal black, and soft silver-gray. Depending on the light, she changes colors like the surface of Candlewood Lake on a cloudy afternoon. Add in her glowing golden eyes and ridiculously plush medium-to-long coat, and you've got a kitten that's nearly impossible to walk past without saying, "Wow..."
Then you touch her.
Game over.
Mako's fur is so unbelievably soft, we're convinced she's actually made of cotton candy, clouds, and good decisions. She's the kind of kitten you'll find yourself petting long after she falls asleep because you simply can't believe something can be that soft.
Named after the speedy Mako shark, this little lady may have started out as the tiniest fish in the pond, but she's quickly become one of the most unforgettable. She recently made the journey from North Carolina, took a quick detour through New York City, and has officially anchored here at NFSAW in search of the one thing every kitten deserves-a forever family.
Like any proper kitten, Mako believes every toy deserves investigating, every cardboard box deserves inspecting, and every sunbeam was placed there specifically for afternoon naps. She's playful, curious, and just the right amount of silly.
But let's be honest...
It's that coat.
People are going to ask what breed she is.
They're going to ask what color she is.
They're going to ask if she's really as soft as she looks.
The answer to the last question is simple:
She's even softer.
Mako is spayed, SNAP negative, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to swim straight into an indoor forever home.
Warning: Side effects of adopting Mako include compulsively touching her unbelievably soft fur, taking way too many pictures because her coat changes in every light, and answering the question, "What kind of cat is she?" at least once a week.
