Fly silly seabird
No dreams can possess you
No voices can blame you
For sun on your wings -Song to a Seagull by Joni Mitchell
Good afternoon, and happy Friday! We are MAMA HERON & THE BEACH BIRD BABIES! Okay, so we came from Nashville, TN which is clearly not a beachy area. However, when I was down and out, and found myself pregnant and alone in a neighborhood in Nashville, I dreamed I could just sprout wings and fly away with no more worries. That was my low point, until a kind woman took me into her home so that I could have my babies, which totaled 4. My foster mama contacted True Rescue, and they arranged for her to continue to foster me and my babies until we were ready for adoption. You might notice that there are 6 babies....well, that's another story, but in a nutshell, I paid it forward and took on two separate orphaned kittens, which are Plover & Sandpiper. They are not siblings either, as each one was found in different circumstances, cold and alone, and needing immediate removal and assistance. Well, Mama Heron to the rescue, and it wasn't a hard decision either. I took one look at them, and claimed them as my own.
Now, I can't believe it, but OUR TIME HAS COME! Well, actually, it's my babies time (I'll be getting my "procedure" next week, then I'll be ready). My kittens will be the big ADOPTION EVENT happening tomorrow at PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, TN from 11-3.
I do need to mention that Plover and Pelican are being held back one more week due to an inflamed foot pad, and a URI that needs more time. You can go ahead and submit applications for all of them, though, at the link below. My other four will be ready to go at PetSmart, so please come on by and give my little beach bird babies a look-see! You'd be so lucky to have any one of them, because let me tell you...they are something else! They will steal your hearts quicker than a gull snatching a piece of bread! They might have already done that through their pictures, so if your heart is smitten, please fill out an application and plan on coming to the Adoption Event tomorrow. Thanks so much for reading my story, and I love you all already, and will see you very soon!
