Blastoise is a handsome medium-longhaired brown tabby with an impressive mane, enormous kitten feet, and one very clear ambition in life: to become a large cat. Bigger means more Blastoise to cuddle, and as far as he's concerned, this is an excellent long-term strategy.

His feet appear to be getting there considerably faster than the rest of him.

Blast has been raised with love in a foster home and is comfortable with the everyday rhythms of family life. He has been socialized with men, women, older children, and other cats and is a friendly, easygoing little fellow. He hasn't met dogs yet, but his foster family believes his gentle, social nature would help him buddy up with a cat-friendly dog after a proper introduction. Most importantly, Blast thrives on feline companionship and must be adopted into a home with another cat. He would be delighted to go home with his littermate Blaziken, or he could join an established friendly cat who's ready for a new playmate, snuggle buddy, and collaborator in the campaign for additional meals.

Blastoise, or Blast once you're on friendly terms (and you will be), is an exceptionally gentle, affectionate boy. His Pokémon namesake may arrive ready for battle with water cannons blazing, but our Blast has chosen a different set of special abilities: purring, cuddling, happy little chirps, and the uncanny ability to convince reasonable adults that surely it must be time to eat again.

Blast is extremely interested in the household meal schedule. Breakfast is wonderful. Dinner is wonderful. Lunch has possibilities. Second breakfast is an institution whose widespread adoption he strongly supports. Should you somehow lose track of mealtime, Blast is prepared to assist.

Food may be important, but people are even better. Blast is a serious cuddle enthusiast whose favorite pastime is simply being close to someone he loves. He chirps when he's happy, flops enthusiastically into laps for spontaneous snuggles, and dramatically settles down for a nap beside the nearest available person. If there's room on your lap, he'll take it. If there isn't, he's willing to reconsider your assessment of how much room there actually is.

He loves to play, too, and has plenty of kitten energy for toys, wrestling, and adventures with his feline friends. But eventually the game ends, and Blast is ready to return to his true calling: being a large, warm, fluffy object pressed against somebody he loves.
