Meet Ahi! Ahi is a young adult male tabby with medium-length fur and likely a little Maine Coon mixed in. He was found living outside a local business, where he happily accepted food and attention from kind people passing by. Since entering foster care, Ahi’s personality has started to shine through.
Ahi can take a little time to warm up to new people and prefers slow, gentle introductions until he feels safe. Once he trusts you, though, he’s incredibly affectionate. He has the cutest squeaky meow and absolutely LOVES head scratches, ear scratches, and chin rubs. Sometimes he gets so excited about pets that he’ll gently grab your arm for more attention!
While Ahi may look a little grumpy on the outside, he’s truly a soft-hearted and loving boy underneath. He greets his foster family with cheerful meows and never says no to wet food.
So far, Ahi hasn’t shown much interest in toys, but that could change as he continues settling into indoor life. Since we don’t know how long he survived on his own, we’re also unsure how he would do with other cats, dogs, or children in a new home.
Ahi is looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue building confidence and enjoying the comforts of being safe indoors. Ahi has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee is $100 and includes an extensive coupon book from Petsmart and a gift bag from POPP.
