DESCRIPTION
Meet Jack, the handsome long haired male cat. Jack came to the Shelter after a good Samaritan found him coming into her yard for a bit of time and was concerned about his safety long term being outside in the mountains at night. The cat was posted on social media to try to reunite him with his guardian but, after no success, came to the Shelter for his safety and to find him a loving home! Jack has been a social butterfly since his arrival – easy to pet right away. Staff have observed that he is a big boy with large feet and a bit of a stoic face. Although Jack was previously outdoors, he is a social guy who seems like he wants to be a part of the family. An indoor only home would be safest for Jack moving forward but he may enjoy leash walking or a catio as a middle ground of outdoor enrichment. Jack's adoption fee has been sponsored by the Silver Whisker's Society, a fund aiming to help get often overlooked senior cats out of the shelter! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
