In his kennel, Bernard tends to curl himself up in the corner and quietly watch the world go by. But open his door, give him a moment to realize you're there for him, and his sweet personality starts to come out. Before long, he's ready for love and attention.

Bernard came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about the life he had before arriving here. We estimate him to be around 4 years old, and he was already neutered and declawed when he came to us.

He has the most beautiful, incredibly soft coat. He's had a few mats while at the shelter, so he'd especially love a family willing to brush him regularly and help keep that handsome tuxedo looking his best.

We may not know Bernard's whole story, but we know the part that matters now: he's a sweet boy who deserves to be curled up in a home instead of the corner of a shelter kennel.
