Meet Charlie, a 3.5-year-old long-haired orange tabby with gorgeous, flowing fur and an equally wonderful personality! Charlie is a sweet, gentle, and deeply affectionate boy who truly adores human attention once he feels comfortable. He isn't the type to rush up to strangers right away--he needs a little time and patience to get to know you, build trust, and feel safe in a new environment. Once he warms up and knows he's in good hands, his loyal and loving nature shines right through, making him a wonderful companion. Because of his shyer side, Charlie will thrive best in a calm, quiet household where he can settle in at his own pace (and it's important to note he doesn't like to be picked up!). If there are children in the home, we recommend ages 12 and older who understand how to read feline body language and respect his gentle boundaries. Charlie can happily be your one-and-only pet, or he can coexist with other animals. He may do well with a calm, cat-friendly dog who won't overwhelm him, and he is also accepting of other cats. If you have resident felines, a slow, step-by-step introduction is essential. Taking things gradually gives everyone time to process new scents without feeling threatened, preventing stress and setting the stage for a peaceful, lasting friendship. If you have a peaceful home and a little patience to offer, Charlie is ready to fill your life with warmth and love! Charlie's adoption fee is $225.
