Meet Susu, a beautiful, sweet girl with a playful spirit and plenty of personality!

Susu spent over a year living outdoors in a Bronx garden, where she was a familiar face and had quite a few feline admirers! Fortunately, a kind neighbor welcomed her inside just before a winter blizzard, and Susu didn't need much convincing. An open door and a little food were all it took! As it turned out, Susu was pregnant, and she soon gave birth to four kittens, proving to be a wonderful mom.

Now enjoying the comforts of indoor life, Susu has really blossomed. She's an incredibly playful girl who loves wand toys, plush mice, and chasing balls around. One of her funny little quirks is that she especially loves playing with balls made from her own brushed-out fur!

Susu is also curious and enjoys being around her people. She'll follow you around the house, keeping an eye on whatever you're doing, and is perfectly happy just hanging out nearby. She also loves relaxing on a windowsill, watching the world go by.

She has a little sassy side, too! If there's something she doesn't particularly enjoy, like getting her nails trimmed, she'll let you know with a few grumbles and meows, but she's very cooperative. She does well with veterinary handling and even takes medication like a champ.

Susu would do best as the only cat in the home, where she can enjoy her space and all the attention. After spending so much time outdoors, she's earned a peaceful home of her own!

All Bronx Tails cats are or will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and Feline Leukemia and are litterbox reliable.

We require adopters to fill out an application, have basic references checked, allow a home visit and video tour (to ensure conditions are safe and reasonable), and pay an adoption fee. We allow all adopters an up-to-2-week-long tryout period to determine if the cat(s) is a good match for them. If not, we will retrieve the cat(s) and return the adoption fee in full. We will also help with tips and methods for introducing the cat(s) to other pets, if needed.
