Meet Raya — A Gentle Soul Ready for Her Safe Place
Raya is a stunning 4-year-old, solid white, long-haired beauty with a quiet spirit and an incredibly sweet heart.

Rayas story is a little bittersweet. She arrived during a large TNR day after an elderly woman who had been feeding her for several years brought her in. Given just how gentle and loving she is, we strongly believe Raya was once someones pet who became lost or was left behind. Unfortunately, with no microchip, collar, or way to trace her past, attempts to reunite her with a previous family have been unsuccessful.
After spending years surviving outside, Raya learned to keep to herself and be cautious of the world around her. She is extremely shy, but underneath that timid exterior is such a sweet, gentle girl. Since entering her foster home, she has already made huge progress, showing us that with patience, consistency, and a peaceful environment, she can continue to blossom.
Raya isnt looking for a busy household or a life full of commotion. Shes very much a loner who enjoys her own space and would be happiest in a calm, quiet home without children or rough, energetic dogs. Her idea of a perfect afternoon is curling up on a big, soft dog bed and peacefully lounging the day away. No chaos. No drama. Just Raya enjoying the comfort she went without for far too long.
She would make an especially wonderful companion for an older adult or quiet household looking for a calm, independent cat to share their home with. Raya doesnt need someone to constantly entertain her—she needs someone who will give her time, respect her boundaries, and find joy in watching this beautiful girl slowly learn that she is finally safe.
After years of living on the streets, Raya deserves something wonderfully simple: a soft bed, a peaceful home, and a person who will love her exactly as she is.
Raya is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.
ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:
When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, youre doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you for your contribution to our efforts!
