Shuri, affectionately known as Shoo Shoo, is a beautiful girl over 2 years old with a sleek black coat, a tiny white patch on her chest, and one of the gentlest personalities you could ask for.

She is not the kind of cat who walks into a new place and immediately acts like she owns it. Shuri needs time to understand that she is safe. New people, new surroundings, and changes in routine can make her nervous, so she is looking for a patient family who will let her settle in at her own pace.

Once she trusts you, everything changes. Shuri gives kisses, curls up beside you on the couch, and becomes a sweet, affectionate companion. Earning her trust takes patience, but the bond that follows is incredibly special.

Shuri would do best in a quiet, peaceful home. She is very afraid of dogs and needs a dog-free environment. She does well with friendly cats and may also do well with respectful older children who understand when a sensitive kitty needs space.

Shuri has been with her foster since she was just 6 weeks old after being found outside a Mexican restaurant all alone. After more than two years together, saying goodbye will be difficult, so a family willing to share an occasional update would mean the world to the person who has loved her since she was tiny.

Shuri does not need a perfect home. She needs a patient one, a gentle one, and a family willing to give her the time she needs to blossom.
