Le merveilleux SIMBA se cherche une nouvelle famille - malheureusement il ne peut rester chez lui en raison des allergies de leur jeune enfant. Comme un séjour au refuge serait une grande source de stress pour SIMBA, nous aidons sa famille actuelle à lui trouver un nouveau foyer. Nous espérons lui dénicher des adoptants aimants qui lui offriront l'accueil, la stabilité et la seconde chance qu'il mérite.

Voici les informations fournies par sa famille:

- Bengal croisé
- Mâle de 8 ans, stérilisé et en excellente santé - il a encore ses griffes
- À eu ses vaccins lorsqu’il était bébé
- Chat d'intérieur seulement
- Il est un chat d’intérieur, il n’a jamais été à l’extérieur
- Peu actif, c'est un chat calme qui aime relaxer, dormir, regarder dehors. Mais lorsque vient le temps de jouer avec lui, il devient soudainement très actif. Il a du plaisir à jouer
- Très peu vocal
- Il aime se faire flatter, mais il est un chat indépendant en général. Il devient plus affectueux/colleux le soir

- Aucune mauvaises habitudes sur l’hygiène de vie; c’est un chat très très propre
- Il est habitué avec les litières
- N’a jamais été en contact avec d’autres animaux
- Chat très gentil - il ne griffe pas, ne crache pas et ne mord pas
- Gentil avec bébé / enfants

Quelques "inconvénients" à connaître :

- Il peut gratter les divans, chaises, etc. - il faut lui fournir des grattoirs et entretenir ses griffes régulièrement
- Il peut essayer de fuguer dehors lorsque la porte ouvre - il faut donc faire attention
- Il aime la nourriture de table donc ne pas laisser trainer de la nourriture
- Mange les plantes/fleurs et vomis quand il le fait. Elles ne doivent donc pas être accessibles. Les fausses plantes sont une bonne alternative

- Ciseaux à griffes, brosse et produits qui réduisent les allergènes

SIMBA - FOR ADOPTION
This cat is not at the shelter and is currently being cared for by his family.

Wonderful SIMBA is looking for a new family. Sadly, he can no longer remain in his current home due to allergies developed by their young child. Bringing SIMBA into the shelter's care would cause him a great deal of stress, so we are acting as a "broker" to help the current family find a new loving family willing to welcome him and give him stability and a second chance at happiness.

Here is the information provided by his family:

-Bengal mix
-8-year-old neutered male in excellent health, still has his claws
-Received his vaccinations as a kitten
-Indoor-only cat
-He has never been outside
-A fairly laid-back companion, he enjoys relaxing, napping, and watching the world go by through the window. When it's time to play, however, he suddenly becomes quite energetic and has a great time engaging with his toys
-Very quiet and rarely vocal
-He enjoys being petted but is generally an independent cat. He tends to become more affectionate and cuddly in the evenings

-No undesirable hygiene habits; he is an exceptionally clean cat
-Fully litter-trained
-Has never been exposed to other animals
-Very sweet & gentle; he does not scratch, hiss, or bite
-Good with babies and children

A few things to keep in mind:

-He may scratch sofas and chairs, etc...so providing scratching posts and keeping his claws trimmed is important
-He may try to dart outside when a door is opened, so extra caution is needed
-He enjoys people food, so it is best not to leave food unattended
-He likes to chew on plants and flowers and may vomit afterward. Houseplants should therefore be kept out of reach. Artificial plants are a great alternative.

To help ease his transition, his family is willing to send the following items with SIMBA:
-Large cat tree
-Carrier
-Several toys
-Two litter boxes
-Nail clippers, grooming brush, and allergen-reducing products
-Large bag of cat food (Purina Pro Plan Live Clear, formulated to help reduce allergens)
-Cat treats

Visits for adoption will take place in the family's home in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu.
