Cat located in this city: Kissimmee, Florida

Cats Name: Annie

Cats Age & Sex: Born March 22, 2022
4 years old
Cats vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): Spayed, vaccinated in first year of life and avoided additional vaccines since, microchipped

Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome): Annie was purchased from a breeder in Olathe, KS. Annie is a purebred Bengal with an impressive pedigree. Her grandpa won #1 in a national Bengal cat competition. She has since lived in Kansas, Palm Beach Gardens, and Kissimmee. We got Annie when our situation was perfect. Since then, we bought a house, had a baby, then suddenly lost all of our income. We have to sell everything and move in with my dad, who is allergic to cats. We have 3 cats and no friends or family who will take them.

Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Annie is Mr. Cat's littermate but she is the exact opposite of Mr. Cat. We joke that Mr. Cat took all of the nutrients in the womb, because Annie was born small. Annie is very shy and timid and was not getting sold.
We did not plan on buying her. We brought Mr. Cat home and the same night received a one in a million sign from the heavens that we need to buy Annie too. She was bought and returned once so we were afraid there was something wrong with her. It turns out she is just very, very shy. She was just 6 pounds when we brought her home- she was too shy to eat with the other Bengals. Now she is over 10 pounds and super healthy.. She hides when we have visitors and has never once attempted to leave the house. She likes hanging out in separate rooms and coming out for attention a few times a day. She has 0% fight and 100% flight in her.
The first couple times we bathed her, she ran for life and pooped herself when she was caught. She cried, froze, then shivered; never hissing, clawing, or fighting back. After a few times she realized it's not that bad and she rather enjoys being brushed. Our 2 male cats tend to chase and dominate her because she never wins. She loves our Husky because he does not dominate her. She is curious about the baby. Annie is adaptable but we believe she will be happiest as an only cat or with less dominant personalities. Annie is super low maintenance and despite being shy, she is usually low anxiety and very happy to chill all day, everyday.

Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): Negotiable. Most of our things need to go.

What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): Annie needs an experienced cat owner or someone who's willing to put in effort. She is allergic to ALL seafood and fish. She needs a homemade raw diet. Every month we make a trip to Wild Fork and buy grass-fed ground beef and organs. We add powdered bone and algae oil. Sometimes she gets Force of Nature Ancestral Blend - Venison. She gets freeze-dried organs as a treat. The homemade food is surprisingly cheap at $6/lb, and she eats 1/4 of a pound everyday. So Annie costs less than $2/day. It's just 1-2 hours of prep. Annie is also sensitive to fiber, gums, etc. We have tried everything and raw food is the best for her.

IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT:
1) Please show up with a cat carrier
2) Small adoption fee of: $85
3) I will call/text one month from adoption day just to make sure everything is going well
4) Please show up with your Driver's License.
5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as mine)

*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.
