American Shorthair Cats Available for Adoption in Stamford, Connecticut
SHIRA: A QUIET, SHOULDER-RIDING CUDDLE QUEEN
American Shorthair
🇺🇸
Stamford, Connecticut
May 3rd
female, small, baby
DESCRIPTION
Rescued from a colony in the Bronx, Shira lost her sibling right after her rescue. Despite the difficult start, Shira settled into her foster home in just a few days and has proven to be a quiet, easy-going kitten!
At five months old, Shira has a moderate activity level. Her favorite toys are kickers which she loves to hug and bunny kick.
If you are looking for a constant companion, Shira is your girl. She is a true "velcro cat" who craves human connection. She is a purr machine who is happy being carried around on your shoulder and makes the best coworker and sleeping buddy.
Shira is a sensitive soul who prefers the company of humans over other animals, and we’re looking for a forever home where she will get lots of love from all the humans. We’ve observed that assertive cats in her foster home scare her quite a lot. She is much more confident and secure when she is the center of her human's world and we are looking for a quiet home where she can be the queen of the castle (the only pet).
While she can be a little shy in new environments and can be easily startled, she is never aggressive and will immediately relax the moment she is held. She has even done well with young children, though we recommend a quiet and calm environment that matches her gentle personality.
She is being fostered in Stamford, CT, but don’t worry — we will travel for the right home!
