Forest is an assumed male Blue-and-Gold Macaw who arrived at Rhode Island Parrot Rescue on April 25, 2026, and he is looking for a home where he can continue living life to the fullest.
What makes Forest so special? In his previous home, he was rarely confined to a cage. Instead, he spent his days out and about, enjoying freedom, companionship, and being part of everyday life. Because of this, we would love to see him join a home that can offer him a similar lifestyle, as that is where he truly thrives.
Forest is happiest when he is included. He loves showers, enjoys singing and dancing, and can often be heard chattering away in his own language of nonsense and commentary. He knows how to say his name and will proudly ask for "water" when he wants a drink.
While Forest enjoys people, he may have a preference for men and will need a family willing to take the time to get to know him and allow him to settle in at his own pace.
If you're looking for a large parrot with a big personality, a love for life, and plenty to say, Forest may be the perfect companion. He is searching for a home where he can spend his days being part of the family, not simply watching life from inside a cage.
